Sailbird in a comment (see Home Page) has mentioned the problem with date clashes of events, where two events in the Cornish calendar are held on the same day. A few people have mentioned this as a problem in the past too. Date clashes are rare for triathlon events, and they mostly clash with running events held the same weekend. If there were particular events you would rather not have clash in the 2009 calendar, then let me know and see if we can do something about it.

A new poll has been added to the Home Page for your feedback, listing some of the possible features under discussion for inclusion in a 2009 version of tricornwall. These features may be added to/revised in the final version, but promise to include some excellent new functions. Also expected is a more extensive events guide, and many more features for users to interact with other users. So VOTE NOW to add your views.

Latest news is for this Sundays Wadebridge triathlon is this year entries were over 100 today and likely to be limited to 120 due to the waiting time to start swimming (only 8 per wave) The cycle route is same out and back blast to Wynards Perch roundabout down the A39 and the run goes down the camel trail as per previous years. Chip timing and bike racking as usual and new for this year are goody bags and t-shirts

Lots of people posted a positive response on the poll, and one added a very positive comment too. Feedback can be positive though not enough post and say why they liked an event, or why they took part, and how they benefitted or felt good about their achievment of actually finishing. Its an amazing feat of fitness to actually finish an event, and is often underrated. tri-cornwall offers a voice to those who take part and sometimes do criticise, but it also allows your response too.

One of my favourite events is due soon, Wadebridge. Last time I did it, it had some really dodgy racking with wheel slots which on a windy day looked like it could bend some expensive wheels. Great cycle though and the run is great too.

Yes, I agree with Grammarsow, but I still feel that it is best to email or call the organizer personally with constructive criticism or to discuss an issue or concern as some comments can be taken out of context on forums etc.

Absolutely agree, and would suggest anyone who genuinely had concerns about any event, to login and post a comment or add feedback here on the forum. The poll is just a general overview of peoples opinions on an event, and how they found it on the day. If you have any suggestions as to how the polls criteria could be revised, let me know.

on the poll it would be nice to see the reason competitors gave it the 'didn't like it' vote - is there any way to add a 'didn't like it because' comment bit - they might not have liked it cause they thought it was too tough or it may have been something to do with the organisation and running of the event - like last year the organisors addressed some of the concerns, but just ticking 'didn't like it' without giving a reason doesn't let anybody know what issues may need addressing

Jon, results on the day are always only provisional - I remember seeing my time as 1.27 something (which would have been great as I would have got 3rd vet) but when everything was worked out I was at 1.28 something - I also saw Nathan at 1.15 and Matt at 1.18 - the results now show only an 8 second difference - I'm sure Cooter will explain how it works

Have just contacted Chris regards the results. My results query being:

On the day my time was posted as 1.55 but on Blacksheep it now states 1.57.

What makes this worse it shows my brother Mike Clancy at 1.56 who started in the same phase as planned and finished approx 20-40 seconds behind me.

This was our first Triathlon and am pretty disappointed with the accuracy of the results as you can imagine.

Has anyone else experienced this problem at Bodmin or previously ???

Cris is working very hard to get the full results out tonight as we discovered a few problems concerning 'wave changing' which have altered the results somewhat. We now have a list of amended wave times which we are able to work with and create accurate results. We apologise for any delay. All the times are there, but we had some people in waves that we originally inputted in to the system, but changed on the day, therefore creating some difficulties. Please check this site or go to: www.blacksheepsports.co.uk later on tonight.
The run is still the same and following advice from British Triathlon and feedback from competitors the organisers have moved the transition area.

An incredibly fast and competitive race today. Bad luck to no.17 who had a puncture which sounded like a car back firing. In a very high position in the race (top 10) got off and fitted a new inner tube as others over took. No sooner inflated then that tube also blew. Great effort which deserved much fortune.
